When was the last time you thanked yourself?
After two spectacular months of being by myself, with no friends, no boyfriend, and no family, I realized I had to thank myself for all the time passed. So I lit up an Himalayan salt candle, made a cup of organic tea, and sat on the floor of my room with some relaxing music (of course, everyone sets up their own environment when its time to reflect)
And these were the words that came out from my deep soul:
I am thankful today. I am thankful because of these past months I was able to have for myself.
I learned that even if I want to start achieving my goal now, I have to grow first as a human being. I have to gain knowledge, gain experience, gain self-awareness of what I want to be, and how I can become that version of myself. I am thankful because now I know what I am: I am movement. I am waves of the ocean growing and growing more every day. And it’s a process I need to accept and love.
I am grateful for the matcha tea I drank almost every day around the city; it served me when trying to think and develop ideas. I am grateful for all the yoga classes; they served me as a relief and a lift up many days. I am grateful for being me; I am here, I am alive, I am breathing, I am conscious, I am.
